HBO Max acquires “Perfect Life” from the Spanish series and commits to co-producing the second season
HBO Max gave a serial commitment to the project last summer. It is designed to build on the film’s examination of the anatomy of corruption in Gotham City, launching a new Batman universe across multiple platforms. Focusing on the Gotham Police Department, the series will expand the world established in the film and explore more of Gotham’s countless complex characters.
Reeves said in August that the series was a prelude to his second year Batman, with its show in Batman Year One when “a masked guard … begins to destabilize the city.” Reeves said in August that the series focused on the corruption of the city that “goes back many years” and is said from the point of view of a warped cop.
It comes from Reeves’ 6th & Idaho in collaboration with Warner Bros. Television. Reeves, Barton W. Batman Producer Dylan Clarke are executive producers, along with Daniel Pepski of 6, Idaho and Adam Cassin. Ravi Kron of 6th & Idaho is a co-executive producer. It is based on the characters created for DC by Bob Kane along with Bill Finger.
